CARROLLTON, Ky. – Authorities remove more than 250 animals discovered in a garage in northern Kentucky.
Investigators say chickens, rabbits and ducks were crowded into the building in Worthville, just south of Carrollton. They found dead animals in cages with other animals, which were underfed and in poor health. Several had to be destroyed.
Kentucky State Police and the Carroll County Sheriff’s Department are investigating. Property owner Donnie Cannon faces an animal cruelty charge. Authorities say Cannon is an animal dealer.
