A Louisville golf company is getting some major attention from one of the biggest movies of the year.

A putter made by Louisville Golf is featured in the new James Cameron movie Avatar!

Louisville Golf, in the Bluegrass Industrial Park,  say they got a call about 4 to 5 years ago from Cameron’s production assistant wanting one of the putters.

But they had no idea how it would be used in the movie.

“About 30 minutes into I, a character is putting on a putting mat and makes a couple puts and says I love this putter.  Looking closely at it I realized the call and I knew right away that was our putter,” said Josh Fischer, Marketing Director for Louisville Golf.

The 3D epic roared to first place over the weekend at the box office. It’s about a human sent to infiltrate an alien culture.
