Original Article: Louisville Zoo Hoping for Elephant Size Donation

Food drive extended through the end of January

LOUISVILLE, Ky.–The Louisville Zoo is hoping for an “elephant-size” donation for Dare to Care. It’s extending its partnership with Dare to Care Food Bank. You can get into the zoo for $5 on weekdays now through December 18th and again January 4th through January 29th, if you bring one canned good per person.

The zoo has collected more than 5,000 pounds of food so far. Officials are hoping to collect more than 10,000 pounds of food by the end of promotion.
