LOUISVILLE, Ky. – It will cost you more to send parcels via UPS, but it won’t take effect until after Christmas.
The world’s largest shipping carrier Friday released new list rates for next year, including an average increase of 4.9 percent for UPS Ground packages and an average net increase of 4.9 percent on all air express shipments.
Also, fuel surcharge tables for air express and ground services will be adjusted. Those changes will keep rates even when fuel prices fluctuate.
The new rates take effect on January 4th.
Rival Fed Ex said in September it will raise express shipping rates an average of 5.9 percent in January.
